Introduction

The mission of Shane Bow is to share some code examples and programming knowledge acquired by the owner over a widely varied fifty-plus year career in software related endeavors — as well as some of the cool stuff my kids are working on.

The collection of data about you is not our objective. In fact, aside from being mildly curious about which countries our visitors reside in, we do not store any tracking information about you. If you give us your phone number we keep it on file in order to return your calls. And we keep your email address so that we can correspond and you can login to the site.

Currently there is no newsletter, nor any targeted advertising. If in the future, we add these to the site there will be a very simple way to opt out on the account settings page!

Protection of Personal Data is of great importance for us, and we strive to ensure a high level of security for the small amount of data we do have about you.

shanebow.com provides a web portal, or gateway, to the software related services offered by Shane Bow. The Portal is owned by Shane Bow. The main activities of Shane Bow take place at two Shane Bow locations, in California and Thailand.

The Agency may keep your personal data for as long as necessary for the fulfilment of the above mentioned purposes.

We should not retain your personal information for longer than required. In many cases users become a members of the site, therefore we cannot set a fixed number of years for how long we keep your data. We will keep your personal information:

  • Until we no longer have a valid reason for keeping it
  • Until you request us to stop using it.

We may keep some of your personal information to ensure that we comply with your requests not to use your personal information or comply with your right to erasure. For example, we must keep your request to be erased even if it includes some of your personal data, like name and email address.

 

8. How can you erase, rectify, complete or amend your personal data?

Shane Bow is keen to collect and process accurate personal data and to keep it to date. You may request the erasure, rectification, completion or amendment of your personal data if, and to the extent that it is inaccurate or incomplete, having regard to the purposes for which they are collected and processed, or if they are processed in violation with the principles referred in this PDP Policy.
